Jon Vermont has been dealing (buying, selling, and appraising) comics since the mid 1970’s and was operating out of Seattle’s Time Travelers through 1979. Throughout the 80’s, Jon continued to work trade shows and conventions out of the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1994, he and a partner opened Village Toys & Comics, dealing in primarily vintage comics and collectables. Soon after Jon also opened Neutron Records & Comics.

In 1999 Jon moved back to Seattle where he was immediately hired by the Comics Dungeon. Jon is regarded as one of the strongest graders in the Seattle area and is known for his fair pricing as well as his ability to catch restorations such as replacement pages, trimming, and replaced staples. Jon is also known for his meticulous grading and rarely overlooks any aspect, making sure to give complete page counts and judging the book based on ink and page quality, the integrity of edges and spine, as well a myriad of other aspects that only someone as experienced as Jon could identify.
