 | Chris Casos
Chris Casos has been working comic retail for over 15 years and is considered by many in the Seattle area to be a fixture of the comics scene, even being voted as Comic Guru of Seattle in 2005 by Seattle Magazine. Chris started at Rocket Comics in Greenwood in 1995 and was quickly put in charge of coordinating customer subscription services. After Rocket closed shop, he was hired by Steven Beard in 1999 and quickly took charge of subscription maintenance, ordering, customer service, and all the core duties of the storefront. When Scott Tomlin purchased the Dungeon, Chris remained onboard and continued to oversee the general duties of the store after being promoted to manager. Chris has remained a central fixture of the Comics Dungeon through its many changes and maintains the core of customer service by overseeing one of the largest and best subscription services in Seattle. In addition to his customer service duties, Chris also maintains the bulk of ordering and inventory at the store, making sure he is always up-to-date with the newest and most popular books. Chris’ most prominent talent though is his ability to recommend the right books to the right customers. He has made it a point to expose himself to virtually all forms of comics from mainstream, Indy, Underground, European, Asian, vintage, webcomics, and more. Chris also makes it a point to keep up with current trends and publishes a weekly newsletter highlighting industry news as well as writing reviews online. Chris regularly updates his blog Trustyhenchmen with reviews, articles, and galleries of featured artists. |
